CERTFICATE III IN TRENCHLESS TECHNOLOGY

The Certificate III in Trenchless Technology is unique course suited for individuals working within the Civil Construction Industry utilising forms of Trenchless Technology within their daily. This course covers a range of Trenchless Construction methods including Horizontal Directional Drilling, Auger Boring and Pipe jacking. The qualification is also suited to newcomers to the industry looking to secure a unique skill base and commence a successful career within the Trenchless Industry.

Areas of study include but are not limited to, Planning and organising work, Reading and Interpreting site plans and specifications, Identifying, locating and protecting underground services, Workplace health and safety, Supporting plant operations, Carrying out measurements and calculations and Communicating in the workplace.

The course involves both theory and practical elements of training; theory components can be studied via flexible delivery (from home) and in our training room based on the Gold Coast. Practical assessments can be completed at our training facility located in Yatala, QLD or on site in your workplace.

Each person undertaking this qualification brings their own education and skills levels to the table, impacting on the overall time taken to complete their course.

The duration of the course can also depend on current employment status and hours of study per week committed to your course.

CERTFICATE III IN DRILLING OPERATIONS

The Certificate III in Drilling Operations unique course suited for individuals working within Drilling Industry who perform a wide range of tasks associated with Drilling Operations. The course is also suitable for newcomers to the industry looking create a clear career pathway and gain the required skills and knowledge to conduct drilling operations safely, efficiently and effectively.

The Certificate III in Drilling Operations covers a range of different drilling techniques including Horizontal Directional Drilling, In-Seam Directional Drilling, Core Drilling and Continuous Flight Auger Drilling as well as Risk Management, Workplace Health & Safety, Site Management and Effective Communication.

The course involves both theory and practical elements of training; theory components can be studied via flexible delivery (from home) online or in our training room based on the Gold Coast. Practical assessments can be completed at our training facility located in Yatala, QLD or on site in your workplace.

CERTFICATE IV IN DRILLING OPERATIONS

The Certificate IV in Drilling Operations is designed for senior drillers, supervisors or project managers with significant industry experience who perform a range of managerial and supervisory tasks within the workplace.

The Certificate IV in Drilling Operations covers a range of supervisory and management skills associated with drilling operations including monitoring and supervising drilling crews, running on site operations, coaching others in the drilling process and managing teams of staff.

The course involves both theory and practical elements of training; theory components can be studied via flexible delivery (from home) online or in our training room based on the Gold Coast. Practical assessments can be completed at our training facility located in Yatala, QLD or on site in your workplace.

Each person undertaking this qualification brings their own education and skills levels to the table, impacting on the overall time taken to complete their course.

SHORT COURSES

This course will provide students with the skills and knowledge to conduct directional drilling operations in a safe, efficient manner. This course is suited  to anyone currently operating in or around any Civil Construction site utilising a Directional drilling rig.

Modules studied:

  • RIINHB323D – Conduct horizontal directional drilling
  • RIICCM202D – Identify, locate and protect underground services
  • RIIWHS201D – Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
  • RIIOGF302D – Operate drilling fluids and mud pits

Option two is suited to anyone currently involved in or new to operating an Excavator up to 50T within a Civil Construction environment. The course will cover operating an Excavator safely as well as locating and protecting underground services and basic trenching operations.

Modules studied:

  • RIIMPO320E – Conduct civil construction excavator operations
  • RIICCM201D – Identify, locate and protect underground services
  • RIIWHS302D – Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
  • RIICCM210D – Install trench support

The perfect course for anyone currently undertaking general Civil Construction duties. Providing the essential skills and knowledge to operate in and around any Civil Construction site.

Modules studied:

  • RIIBEF201D – Plan and organise work
  • RIICCM201D – Carry out measurements and calculations
  • RIIIMG301D – Maintain site records
  • RIIWHS201D – Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
